Falcons Begin Offseason Workouts Without Coaches

Until the lockout comes to an end, NFL players are banned from practicing inside the teams facilities. As for the Atlanta Falcons, theyre taking the same approach numerous teams are this offseason by having their players organize team practiceswhich happened for the first time on Monday.

According to D. Orlando Ledbetter of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, the Falcons started began their first offseason workouts on Monday without coaches.

Nascar Coke Zero 400 Gambling Picks/Preview

The big issue so far at Daytona has been rain. Only one practice session was held on Thursday and it was rain-shortened, but led by Marcos Ambrose and AJ Allmendinger, both in Fords, followed by the Penske Dodge tandem of Kurt Busch and Brad Keselowski.

In qualifying on Friday, Mark Martin scored the pole with a 182.065 mph lap, with Daytona 500 winner Trevor Bayne in P2.

All four Hendrick Motorsports drivers qualified in the top 8. Points leader Carl Edwards qualified 14th.

Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman Reportedly in Talks With WWE, Colt Cabana Returning to WWE?

One person close to the situation notes that CM Punk mentioning Colt Cabana, Paul Heyman and Brock Lesnar during his promo on Mondays RAW has to do with all three of those stars possibly coming back to WWE.

Apparently Punk recently asked for his friend Colt Cabana to be rehired and put on the main roster, as one of the points in Punks new deal if he should resign. Regarding Punk staying or going, WWE creative has been told that hes finishing up at Money in the Bank and most feel that he is still leaving, despite Mondays promo. WWE still does have an offer on the table to Punk for him to stay.

Heyman and Lesnar have reportedly either made a deal or are at least in very serious negotiations to have a business relationship with WWE.

MLB Playoff Shifts – Week 7

AMERICAN LEAGUE Once again it looks like the Wild Card will be coming out of the AL East. The Yankees, Red Sox, and Rays are all within a half game in the standings, and only the surprising Indians have a better record in the American League. Boston and New York made the biggest jumps in the projected playoff standings as both won five times in the past week. Tampa was only one of the three to have to go on the road during interleague, and the Rays actually were the biggest losers of the week falling 25.7 percentage points in playoff probability. Still, all three teams are top contenders and are projected between 53.3 percent and 60.7 percent likely to make the postseason.

The Rangers went only 3-4 this week, but all their games were on the road and both Nelson Cruz and Josh Hamilton have returned to health.

Prediction: Manchester United vs Blackpool

Having already secured the Premiership title, Sir Alex Ferguson could be forgiven for fielding the under strength side against Blackpool, but there is no way that United will led the Seasiders win this game. The Tangerines do need a win in order to escape the drop, but that looks like too much to ask for at the moment.

Before the season started not too many football pundits believed that Manchester United could enter the Premiership title race, let alone win the title, but Sir Alex Ferguson’s side not only won the coveted trophy but also managed to qualify for the Champions League final, where they will meet mighty Barca.
