Football Betting – Rams Vs Saints

Posted by Jasper Irvine in Betting Sport Tips

Football betting devotees are impressed with the upstart Rams, who have surfaced from a last place team to a NFC West contender with the sport gambling prospects. NFL wagering respect remains for the New Orleans Saints as they again seem to make a Super Bowl run with the football gambling prospects after a sluggish start to the year.

The St Louis Rams continue their pursuit for a playoff spot as they travel to New Orleans to meet the defending Super Bowl Champ New orleans saints with a broadcast on FOX established to start at 4:10 PM ET.  The sportsbook started out with New Orleans as a 9.5 point favorite and with an over/under of 47.

The Rams have endured losses to the Tampa bay buccaneers and Falcons, and they’ve suffered a win over the Carolina Panthers. Like the rest of the NFC West, they haven’t fared too well from the Western divisions.

St. Louis has a Football wagering record of 6-6 straight up and 9-3 against the spread with 7 of their 12 games going under the total.  The St Louis Rams are in a first place tie with Seattle in the National Football Conference West Division and are riding a 2 game win/payout streak after last week’s 19-6 win at Arizona.

While rookie quarterback Sam Bradford gets a lot of the interest, credit, and headlines for his reliable play the primary grounds for the progress of the St Louis Rams is their defense which has climbed to an outstanding 10th in the nfl for points allowed.

The offense is better than a year ago but has still been sluggish as it ranks 25th for scoring.  Bradford has passed for 2653 yards and Steven Jackson has rushed for 985 yards to lead the team.

New Orleans has a betting on Football football record of 9-3 straight up but only 5-7 versus the spread with 7 of their games beating the total.  The Saints have won 5 games consecutively but have did not cover their last two wins at Dallas and then this past week in their 34-30 win at Cincinnati.

The Saints rate fifth in scoring defense and 8th for offensive scoring. The New orleans saints escaped San Francisco with a game-winning field goal, lost to the Arizona Cardinals after 3 defensive and special teams scores from the Cardinals, and handled the Seattle Seahawks with ease. They’ve competed pretty sloppily vs the Western division teams, but they’re 2-1 regardless.

6 of the New orleans saints 9 wins have been within 10 points. They have had close calls vs the 49ers, Panthers, Cowboys, Cincinnati Bengals, Pittsburgh steelers, and Minnesota Vikings. They’ve also been victims of some major upsets by the Arizona Cardinals and Cleveland Browns.

Football wagering exhilaration is increasing for the Rams as they’re one of the most promising young teams in pro football and have appeared as a squad that was given no chance for the playoffs in the preseason to one that is a respected up and arriving challenger.

Playing at New Orleans will be a hard assignment for the Rams who is not going to get the benefit of the Saints looking past them or failing to take them seriously.
