Humphries may ultimately be a bigger star than his ex.

A source tells YouWager that the Kardashian empire has lost much of its clout already since Kim Kardashian filed for divorce after only two months of being married to the NBA player. The ratings for the reality show about the Kardashian family have dropped. Magazines featuring Kim Kardashian on the cover are not selling as they once did. Keeping Up With the Kardashians ratings are 14 percent lower now, according to the Nielsen company. Publishers for magazines such as Us Weekly, In Touch, Life & Style and OK! are reporting that sales were 18 percent lower when a Kardashian was on the cover last month.

But sports and sports betting does not often revolve around celebrity and fame. In sports, money is usually based on results. In December, the power forward, once considered to be unpopular in the NBA, re-signed with the New Jersey Nets for one year for $8 million. This is $2 million more than the average salary in the NBA. Humphries was booed during a preseason game against the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden in December, but Humphries has had a fairly good season so far. He is averaging 13 points and 10 rebounds per game. In 2004 Humphries was drafted by the Utah Jazz as the 14th pick. He played for the Jazz for two spent two seasons. He averaged 3.6 points per game and 2.7 rpg in 11.6 minutes per game. In 2006, Humphries was traded to the Raptors. After a slow start, Humphries turned out to be a valuable rebounder and as a high-energy player, he contributed to the Raptors when they captured their first division title. In 2009, Humphries was traded to the Dallas Mavericks. The Mavericks traded Humphries to the New Jersey Nets. On January 27th, in the 2010 NBA basketball betting season, Humphries scored a career-high 25 points against the Los Angeles Clippers. Previously, he recorded career highs of 15 and 21 points for the New Jersey Nets. In the 2011 season, Humphries averaged a double-double in points and rebounds.

Aside from marrying Humphries, Kim Kardashian’s only credits include a disappointing sex tape and a poor showing on Dancing With The Stars. Before the sex tape hit the Internet, when Barbara Walters first interviewed Ms. Kardashian, she bluntly asked her, “Why are you famous?” Back then, the only reason anyone had heard of Kardashian, was because of her friendship with Paris Hilton, another curious case of professional fame.
